I consider myself as critique by nature, In that note would like bring on the most serious offence, oppurtunism and callousnous in the state of indian democracy. I am a strong follower of the principles of democracy and I belong to those selfish fraction of people who chose life and future in a distant coutry rather than being in India and with the people who brought up me to what i am today, I do not qualify to get too judgemental on the topic.
but neverthless, i would want to show my vent and anger on the attitude of media and cheap tactics of increasing viewership. I have been following all major headlines in the recent past to get in tocuh with my dear motherland, one of them was the sensational murder case involving a 14 year old child.
The Indian media lost no time in making this a big story, and now hurridly getting away from the same, for what they caused a foul democracy murder. one particular channel has been dedicating 24 hours news flow on the case, wonder have they done anything in this scale even for the elections.
They have been hounding the Talwars ever since the baby was killed in gruesome way by some less educated and drunk people, but what appals me is how the more educated ( Media ) went one step further and killed the soul of the 14 year old baby.
never have i seen such desperation in character assasination, they digged out one of her mail, and started there own whims and fantasies on the mail. I was bewildered and shocked when i read the news on one of so called national news channel, they pasted those only sentence which could make the viewer think something the channel wanted them to think.
They claim that they are simply a messenger, who gave us what the police gave, but aint it not their responsibility to save the honour of 14 year old child, its funny that they some time "blurr' out the face of common people in News, claiming protection, can they explain what privacy and honour they gave the famly and child.
when they shot a prime time news on a man burning himself alive, this was the same reason they escaped away with, what is a messenger, if he can't save somebody who needs his help. The editor simply made a attractive caption " dont shoot the messenger " . would you still ask your cameraman and reporter to keep shooting if it was a your one of your family members burning himself, and claim that you are just a messenger.
The messenger has to be a Human first, the reason i bring the old news is, media has never learnt from its past mistakes.
It was a shame to see that one of the pillars of the democracy faltering to this extent, the pillar has become virus in the society fast spreading to other pillars.
when Dr Rajesh was released from jail yesterday, i was again dissapointed to see how the media was hounding him.........if it all they have any respect to mankind, they should all apoligize to him on the grave mistake they committed in this case...instead they are still hounding the family only to please their editor bosses.
I pray with all my heart for Aarushi's soul to get the peace and solemnity, while I will also pray for the Talwar family for all the strength and support they need at these hours of greif and continous torture by media.
we must not forget that there was one more dead sould, hemaraj, luckily the Media did not hound his family, no one knows the reason, aint he a human, what justice his family would get.
Lastly, I request the Media to bring some sensitivity to their domain, stop functioning like animals and bring in some humanity in your attitude.
